Le Mans Ultimate V1.2.4 - Update 2, Patch 4 (February 24, 2025)
Introduction
Studio 397 has released the fourth update for version 1.2 of Le Mans Ultimate, bringing important improvements to netcode, race control system fixes, and significant Balance of Performance (BoP) changes for GT3 cars. This update primarily focuses on optimizing the multiplayer experience and refining competitive balance.
System Updates
Netcode - Expanded Spectator Support
The development team has increased the maximum number of clients that can connect to a server, allowing for a greater presence of spectators in online sessions. This modification will significantly improve the streaming and broadcasting experience of events, enabling more users to follow races in real-time without occupying driver slots.
RaceControl - ELMS LMP2 Registration Fix
A critical issue in the signup page that didn't correctly recognize ELMS LMP2 category registrations has been resolved. This fix now ensures proper management of registrations for all classes available in endurance competitions.
Track Limits - Pit Entry Penalty Correction
An annoying bug that caused drive-through penalties for running wide when approaching the pit entry has been eliminated. Drivers can now enter the pits without the risk of unfair penalties due to pit entry geometry.
Car Updates
Hypercar - Important Technical Modifications
Battery Management
- Increased Hypercar battery soft clipping range from 5% to 15%, offering greater flexibility in energy management during stints
Driving Aid Penalties Weight penalties for using driving aids on Hypercars have been significantly increased to discourage their use in competitions:
- ABS: 25kg on Low (previously lower), 45kg on High
- Stability Control: 20kg on Low, 40kg on High
Wet Tires A complete review of wet tire performance and drivability for Hypercars has been conducted, improving behavior in wet track conditions.
GT3 - Revised Track Limits
Track limits for GT3 cars have been reviewed and slightly relaxed, offering drivers a more realistic margin in critical areas of the circuits.
Ferrari 488 GTE EVO - Crucial Fix
Fixed a bug that prevented changing all four tires simultaneously during pit stops. This correction restores the optimal pit stop strategy for this car.
CDA Setups Added
All official teams have received new CDA (Competition Data Access) setups for several key championship circuits:
Porsche 963 LMDh: Bahrain, Spa Toyota GR010: Bahrain, Spa, Le Mans (updated) Peugeot 9X8 LMH: Spa Ferrari 499P LMH: Bahrain, Spa Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh: Bahrain, Imola, Spa BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh: Bahrain, Sebring, Spa Alpine A424 LMDh: Bahrain, Spa Lamborghini SC63 LMDh: Bahrain, Spa Peugeot 9X8 LMH (w/Wing): Bahrain, Spa Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH: Bahrain, Spa
Balance of Performance (BoP) - GT3 Changes

Conclusions
This update represents an important step in the GT3 balancing process, with the Lamborghini Huracan receiving the most severe penalties, while several other cars receive weight reductions to improve competitiveness. The Hypercar modifications, particularly to energy management and driving aid penalties, demonstrate the developers' commitment to maintaining the authenticity and challenge of endurance motorsport.
Drivers will need to readapt their setups and race strategies based on these changes, particularly regarding stint energy management in GT3s and the new wet tire behavior in Hypercars.
