Le Mans Ultimate V1.2.3 – Update 2, Patch 3: New Hypercar Tyre Model and Major Fixes
Le Mans Ultimate V1.2.3 – Update 2, Patch 3: New Hypercar Tyre Model and Major Fixes
On February 10, 2026, Studio 397 released version V1.2.3 (Update 2, Patch 3) for Le Mans Ultimate, the official simulator of the FIA World Endurance Championship. This update represents one of the most substantial technical revisions in recent weeks, centred around a new tyre model for the Hypercar class that brought along a series of interconnected changes to physics, Balance of Performance, and game systems.
New Hypercar Tyre Model
The headline of this patch is the completely revised tyre model for the Hypercars. The tyres now behave less forgivingly at the limit of grip, with a narrower window of usable slip angle: once grip is lost, regaining it will be significantly harder. At low speeds the cars are now pointier and more reactive, which can lead to spins if throttle is applied with too much steering angle. At medium speeds drivers can lean on them more, but at the upper end of the grip range the tyres are peakier, making driving more demanding.
Tyre heating has also been changed: bringing tyres up to temperature now takes longer, making out laps a crucial moment in strategy. Temperature spikes during high-load phases should be reduced, offering more consistent grip throughout a stint.
To complement the new tyre model, brake heating parameters have been recalibrated, traction control maps revised, and a Force Feedback equalisation pass has been performed across all Hypercars. Electric motor power output inconsistencies have also been fixed, along with a cosmetic issue that made soft tyres appear excessively shiny above 24 kph.
Physics and Balance of Performance
The auto-blip model has been improved to correct excessive rear-axle locking, an issue most noticeable on LMDh cars under heavy braking. The Hypercar Balance of Performance has received an initial revision adapted to the updated tyres, with stronger rear wing and suspension at the expense of engine reliability. The LMGT3 class has also received a minor BoP review. Track limits target lap times have been reviewed across all cars.
Game Updates
Co-op: Fixed a free pit stop exploit by handover and then reassigning to yourself.
Engine & Tech: Fixed a rare server crash and an intermittent hang when the server changes sessions from qualifying to race.
Gameplay: Fixed being teleported to the pits at race start showing the driver in first place for a full lap. Fixed unserved stop-go penalties in qualifying resulting in a 0-second pit stop during the race.
Limited Tyre Rules: Fixed pit menu current tyre change selection not updating after becoming invalid due to a change in tyre allocation usage. Improved game logic around replacement of tyres when picking up damage. Prevented damaged and detached tyres from being reusable.
Race Control: Fixed missing message when there are no weekly or special events scheduled.
Race Starts: Fixed AI spacing out very unevenly during fast rolling starts. Fixed circumstances of jump starts receiving no penalty. Fixed an exploit allowing burnout, speeding up and slowing down to avoid penalisation.
Replay: Fixed a crash when loading a replay from the menu whilst in the Co-Op screen. Fixed being unable to change HUD options in Instant Replay mode. Fixed lap count showing as 0.
Telemetry: Fixed the last 10 seconds of telemetry not saving to file.
Track Limits: Fixed illegal pass monitoring not removing cars in the pit lane correctly. Fixed track limits strictness occasionally changing after a pit stop. Updated track limits to penalise time gain after rejoining the track more harshly.
User Interface: Fixed layout formatting in race results. Fixed SR label styling issues in daily race cards.
Track Updates
Sebring: Fixed pit entry track limits on the full circuit layout.
Bahrain: Fixed missing collisions on the armco at the end of the pit wall.
Silverstone: Added Goodyear arches in the fanzone and near BRDC. Added rally handling centre. Fixed leaving the last pit box before pit exit giving the user a track limits violation.
Paul Ricard: Added reinforcement secondary barriers behind armco in various locations. Added various minor props around the circuit. Fixed some kerbs being noticeably darker than others. Fixed various minor gaps in terrain. Increased grip by 2% on kerbs. Optimised run-off road mesh topology. Tweaked bollard materials and positioning. Various asset material tweaks.
Specific Car Updates
Peugeot 9X8 LMH: Adjusted naming of aero component from 'front diffuser' to 'front wing'.
Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh: Adjusted vertical seat movement limits. Fixed rims being see-through on lowest LOD.
Oreca 07 LMP2: AI performance correlation tweaks (primarily Spa). Corrected rims being see-through on lower LODs.
BMW M4 LMGT3: Rebuilt interior LODs to improve quality.
Porsche 911 LMGT3 R: Fixed object poking through rear of body.
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R: Fixed grille disappearing when car was far from camera.
Alpine A424 LMDh: Updated Alpine HUD for 2025.
Lamborghini SC63 LMDh: Corrected SC63 template.
Peugeot 9X8 LMH (w/Wing): Corrected issue with top edge of inside windshield.
McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo: Fixed missing tow strap on highest LOD.
Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3: Corrected UV issue on main body LODs.
Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH: Adjusted naming of aero component from 'front diffuser' to 'front wing'. Adjustments to aerodynamics, spring rates and skid block.
Ligier JS P325 LMP3: Corrected rear wing damage settings.
This update reinforces the core pillars of Le Mans Ultimate – more consistent physics, clearer regulations, and improved technical reliability – continuing the push towards an increasingly robust and realistic competitive environment.
