Le Mans Ultimate - Update 1.2.1.2: Patch 2, Hotfix 2
Release Date: January 9th, 2025
BuildID: 21415170
Version: V1.2.1.2 - Update 2, Patch 1, Hotfix 2
Introduction
Studio 397 has released a new update for Le Mans Ultimate, primarily focusing on resolving critical issues related to driver swaps in online events, HUD system improvements, and input device fixes. This hotfix represents an important step in refining the multiplayer experience of the simulator.
Driver Swaps - Online Mode
The driver swap system has received important fixes that significantly improve the experience during team endurance events:
Improved Client Performance
A critical issue causing significant client performance degradation during long team events has been resolved. Players participating in endurance races experienced progressive performance deterioration, with unstable frame rates and increasing latency. This update completely eliminates the problem, ensuring stable performance throughout the entire event duration.
MFD Setup Correction
An annoying bug affecting team engineers has been fixed. Previously, when a team member with an engineer role joined the server, any changes made to default setup values would revert in the MFD (Multi-Function Display) menu.
Important note: While the revert issue has been resolved, the change difference still does not display correctly for the engineer. Developers are aware of this remaining limitation and are working on a complete solution.
HUD Improvements
The Head-Up Display system has received important diagnostic updates:
Advanced Logging System
A new advanced logging system has been implemented, specifically designed to diagnose HUD rendering issues that occurred after driver swaps. This tool will allow developers to identify and resolve any remaining issues related to user interface display during driver transitions more quickly.
The system collects detailed data on rendering processes and HUD status, providing valuable information for future optimizations.
Input Fixes
Epic Games Launcher Issue Resolution
A critical bug causing intermittent malfunction of input devices when Epic Games Launcher was installed on the system has been fixed. This issue primarily affected users who had Epic Games Launcher installed even if they weren't using the platform to launch Le Mans Ultimate.
The fix now ensures that all input devices (wheels, pedals, shifters) work correctly regardless of the presence of Epic Games Launcher on the system.
Conclusions
This 1.2.1.2 update represents an important step forward in stabilizing the multiplayer experience of Le Mans Ultimate, with particular attention to team endurance events. The implemented fixes significantly improve the simulator's reliability during extended sessions.
Developers continue to monitor community feedback and work on further improvements to ensure an increasingly realistic and stable simulation experience.
