Assetto Corsa EVO: three new circuits and nine spectacular cars are coming
Assetto Corsa EVO: Three New Circuits and Nine Spectacular Cars Incoming
With Assetto Corsa EVO, Kunos Simulazioni continues to accelerate its development. The latest official announcement has confirmed the addition of three new tracks and nine new vehicles, offering even more variety, depth, and content for all sim racing enthusiasts. The already highly anticipated title is growing even richer, showcasing its ambition to become the new benchmark for sim racers.
The New Tracks: Variety and Prestige
The most recent video released by Kunos Simulazioni officially unveiled three new circuits:
Circuit of the Americas (COTA) – Located in Austin, Texas, this is one of the most modern and spectacular tracks in the world. Used by Formula 1 and many GT and touring car categories, it features a mix of fast corners, technical hairpins, and long straights. In Assetto Corsa EVO, it will also be available in multiple alternative layouts.
Donington Park – A historic British circuit, known for its smooth flow and legendary corners like the Craner Curves. It’s a perfect track to test the performance of GT and touring cars, and it will also feature multiple configurations.
Red Bull Ring – Located in Austria, this is one of the most beloved circuits among professional and virtual drivers. With elevation changes, high-speed corners, and a stunning Alpine backdrop, Assetto Corsa EVO will include several layout variations here as well.
Having multiple layouts for each track is a key detail: it allows customization for different racing categories, enabling dynamic and tailored competitions.
The Nine New Cars: From Glorious Past to Electric Future
Assetto Corsa EVO will soon include nine new cars, carefully selected to represent different eras, design philosophies, and racing categories:
Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT – A 1960s classic: light, elegant, and fun to drive. Perfect for vintage racing fans.
Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione – From the turbocharged 1980s era, rear-wheel drive and raw character.
Caterham Academy – Pure analog driving: featherweight, rear-wheel drive, and zero electronic aids.
Ferrari F2004 – The car that helped Michael Schumacher win his seventh World Championship. Legendary tech and performance.
Honda NSX-R – Perfect balance, a naturally aspirated V6, and refined chassis – the ultimate Japanese supercar.
Lotus Exige V6 Cup – Compact, powerful, and glued to the track. A true track weapon.
Maserati MC20 GT2 – The racing evolution of the Modenese supercar. Aggressive design and incredible performance.
McMurtry Spéirling – An extreme electric beast with fan-powered ground effect. Lightweight and revolutionary.
Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 (964) – The 1990s spirit of Zuffenhausen: all-wheel drive and classic turbo thrills.
This selection blends past and future, with iconic combustion models and innovative electric designs like the Spéirling, offering something for every driver’s taste.
Why This Update Matters
With this content update, Assetto Corsa EVO reinforces its identity as not just realistic, but also complete. The tracks were chosen for their global motorsport relevance, while the vehicles represent a wide range of philosophies and driving styles.
The inclusion of alternate track layouts is not a minor feature: it provides flexibility for online championships, multiplayer servers, and modders. Modding support has already been confirmed, allowing the community to further expand the game’s universe.
A Glimpse into the Future
Kunos has also confirmed that Assetto Corsa EVO will support offline play and include modding tools – both essential for long-term engagement. This update with tracks and cars is just the beginning: more content is expected in the coming months, possibly including new game modes, multiplayer improvements, and advanced customization.
Conclusion
With three world-class circuits and nine cars covering every racing category, Assetto Corsa EVO is preparing for a new season of greatness. The direction is clear: to offer the ultimate in realism, variety, and quality. If you're a sim racer, get ready – the new generation has just begun.
