Assetto Corsa EVO
Assetto Corsa EVO represents the next evolution in driving simulation, developed by Kunos Simulazioni and currently available in Early Access on Steam. This third installment of the acclaimed Assetto Corsa series redefines realism standards through a completely new proprietary graphics engine and revolutionary physics model.
The game introduces dynamic weather conditions and a full day-night cycle for the first time, elements that were absent in the original title. The new mathematical model meticulously simulates asphalt performance under different weather conditions, ensuring an authentic experience that promises to redefine the standards that have made Assetto Corsa globally recognized.
Assetto Corsa EVO features a diverse vehicle selection spanning from classic road cars to modern hypercars, from prototypes to historic race cars. Each vehicle is meticulously recreated using cutting-edge technology, delivering unmatched mechanical, electronic, and aerodynamic accuracy. The new tire model enhances grip feedback, providing more precise information through the steering wheel, while upgraded suspension dynamics allow cars to react more naturally to bumps and surface changes.
The audio system reaches new levels of realism, with the highest quality sounds for engine, tire feedback, chassis vibrations, and accessories like wipers, ignition, and indicators. Environmental sounds include turbo whines, compressors, exhaust pops, and realistic collision effects.
Game modes include the new Open Mode, offering immediate access to all available vehicles without progression systems, and Career Mode, featuring a structured progression system with in-game economy and Driving Academy. The Custom Race Weekend mode allows players to create complete race events, including Practice, Qualifying, and Warm-Up sessions.
One of the most ambitious features is the open world planned for summer 2025, which will recreate 1,600 square kilometers of Germany's Eifel region surrounding the famous Nürburgring. Players will be able to interact with local businesses, rent cars, and upgrade vehicles with aftermarket parts.
Virtual reality and triple-screen support has been elevated to first-class features, while the new Replay Gallery allows players to save and review gameplay sessions to analyze performance or create video content.
The full 1.0 release is expected to feature 100 cars and 15 tracks, with continuous free updates adding more content. All LIDAR-scanned tracks offer enhanced tarmac detail and realistic grip levels, while the photorealistic engine delivers stunning visual fidelity from intricate car textures to highly realistic environments.
